2024: “Best Technical Paper Award”

Awarded at the SIAM International Meshing Roundtable Workshop 2024 for our paper Manifold Meshing of Point Clouds with Guaranteed Smallest Edge Length

2023: “SIAM GD Early Career Prize”

Awarded the Early Career prize of the SIAM activity group on Geometric Design. Read a SIAM interview and an interview with the BMS on the award.

2021: “Best Paper”, third place, in the CAGD Special Issue on Computational Geometric Design

Awarded a cash prize of $250 sponsored by Adobe.

2020: “Best Slammer” at the virtual GAIN20 Science Slam

Awarded a cash prize of $3,000 sponsored by the German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH) as best slammer at the GAIN20 Science Slam.

2019: Best Poster Award at the International Geometry Summit 2019 (IGS'19)

Given the “IGS'19 Best Poster Award” with a cash prize of $200 for the poster “Variational Shape Approximation of Point Set Surfaces” at the International Geometry Summit 2019.

2019: Certificate of Distinction

Awarded by the Berlin Mathematical School for the completion of the doctorate.

2018: 15 months free membership in SIAM and SIAG

Nominated for and awarded a 15 months free membership in the Society of Applied Mathematics and the Activity Group “Geometric Design”.

2017: 18 months free membership in SIAM and SIAG

Nominated for and awarded a 18 months free membership in the Society of Applied Mathematics and the Activity Group “Geometric Design”.

2017: ADMC 2017 Award for Excellence

Given an “Award of Excellence” for the entry “Chladni Towers” in the Asian Digital Modeling Challenge 2017.

2017: First prize in the “Research to Market Challenge”

Awarded a first prize in the category “Social and Cultural” with a cash prize of 1,500€ in the “Research to Market Challenge” with the entry “Double Cover”, mathematical models for education.

2016: Three-year free membership in the German Mathematical Society

Awarded a three-year free membership for exceptional deeds for the German Mathematical Society.

2015: Mathemacher des Monats October 2015

Given the title “Mathemacher des Monats” by the German Mathematical Society. Interview

2015: Main Price at Student Conference
